North Coast Harbor Pedestrian Bridge
The new movable footbridge will be located at Voinovich Park along Cleveland's waterfront next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum and the Great Lakes Science Center. This unique, curved bridge consists of a double bascule span that is supported by elegant steel towers. Back stay cables will be used to open the bridge on a regular basis during part of the year. The bridge has a main span of 145' (44m) and a width of 12' (3.5m). The new link will complete a walking loop along the waterfront, helping to invigorate the area and providing a secondary means of access to the adjacent park. The new iconic bridge will become a visually compelling addition to the cityscape marking its location from a distance with its sculptural quality.
