A pair of curved pedestrian bridges are proposed to cross the north and south forks of the San Gabriel River near the central core of Georgetown, Texas. The elegant pair of bridges will be the first curved inverted Fink trusses in the United States. The bridges will include overlooks and seating with views of the river and adjacent parks, including Blue Hole Park. The crossings will improve pedestrian and bicycle access along Austin Avenue, the main access to historic downtown Georgetown from the highway. Both bridges will also be illuminated with aesthetic lighting. The landmark bridges will act as iconic gateways into the city and will be visible from long-range views.
