The new Brent Spence Bridge will cross the Ohio River next to downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. The new interstate bridge will accommodate multiple lanes for both I-71 and I-75 and will be vital to long-distance state and national commerce. The double-deck cable-supported structure will clearly mark the entrance to the city and identify the river crossing from a distance. The arches will be visible from afar and will act as a counterpoint to the high-rise buildings downtown. The new bridge will not only be a major thoroughfare for local and regional mobility but it will also become an important city landmark.
